A normal PDF is arranged in reading order, but a folded booklet needs a different page sequence. Pages that appear far apart in the document must be placed next to each other on the same printed sheet so they appear in the correct order after folding.
This tool performs booklet imposition automatically. For an eight-page PDF, for example, the printable sides are arranged as 8–1, 2–7, 6–3 and 4–5.
Automatic blank pages
Booklets require a page count that is a multiple of four. If your PDF contains 5, 6 or 7 pages, the tool automatically adds enough blank booklet positions to create an eight-page booklet. Your original PDF pages remain unchanged.
A4 and Letter booklet printing
Choose A4 or US Letter as the physical sheet size. Each output PDF page represents one side of a landscape sheet containing two booklet pages.
How to print the booklet PDF
Print the generated PDF double-sided and select Flip on short edge in the printer settings. After printing, keep the sheets in order, fold them through the center and bind or staple them along the fold.

We tested the booklet maker with an eight-page PDF. The four output sides were arranged as pages 8–1, 2–7, 6–3 and 4–5, which is the correct imposition order for a two-sheet booklet.
We also tested a six-page PDF. The tool automatically added two blank booklet positions, produced four printable sides across two physical sheets, and preserved the original selectable text.
