Add extra white space around the top, right, bottom or left side of every page in your PDF. Each side can use a different margin, from 0 to 100 millimeters.
The original page content is not intentionally scaled or converted to an image. The PDF page is expanded to make room for the margins, which is useful for printing, binding, notes and document preparation.
How to add margins to a PDF
Upload your PDF, enter the margin you want for the top, right, bottom and left sides, then select Add Margins. The new PDF keeps the original page content and adds the requested blank space around it.
Add different margins on each side
You can use the same value on all four sides or set each side independently. For example, a larger left margin can create extra space for binding or hole punching.
Margins are measured in millimeters
Each margin accepts a value from 0 to 100 mm. At least one side must have a value greater than zero.
Does adding margins reduce PDF quality?
The tool does not rasterize the original PDF page. Existing vector and selectable text content can remain as PDF content while the page canvas is expanded around it.

Adding margins increases the blank space around a page. Crop PDF does the opposite by trimming space from the page edges.
